Privacy

The privacy policy in plain language

No legal wording. This page says what the contact form collects, what happens to that information, and how to ask for it to be removed.

What the contact form collects

When you send a message through the contact page, the form asks for your name, your email address, the city or location of the project, whether you are local or looking for online design, the space you are working on, and a short note about the project. There is one optional field that asks how you heard about me.

The form does not ask for a phone number, a home address, a password, or any payment details.

If you arrived at the form from the For Artists page, the message also carries a note that it came from an artist, so it reaches me in the right context.

What the information is used for

Your message is used for two things: to reply to your inquiry, and to manage a project if we decide to work together. In practice that means answering your questions, preparing a proposal, scheduling a call, and keeping the details of a project in one place.

It is not used to add you to a mailing list and it is not used to advertise to you.

Your information is never sold

I do not sell, rent, or trade the information you send. It is not shared with advertisers and it is not passed to anyone for marketing.

Cookies and Google Analytics

This site uses Google Analytics cookies. They record how a visitor reached the site and which pages they viewed, which tells me what people are looking for and where the site falls short.

That information is about visits rather than about you as a person. It is not used to build a profile of you and it is not used to follow you across other websites.

You can turn cookies off in your browser settings at any time, and Google offers a browser add-on that opts you out of Google Analytics specifically. Turning cookies off does not stop you from using the site or sending a message.

Asking for your information to be deleted

If you sent a message through the contact form and would like it removed, email hello@marimariahdesign.com from the address you used and tell me what you would like deleted. I will confirm once it is gone.

You can also ask for a copy of what I hold about you, or ask me to correct something that is wrong.

If we have worked together on a project, I keep the records a design project normally needs, and I will tell you exactly what is held if you ask.

Questions

Email hello@marimariahdesign.com and I will answer plainly. This policy covers this website only.
